Lisa(rapper)Lisa made her solo debut with her single album Lalisa in September 2021. The album sold over 736,000 copies in its release week in South Korea, making her the first female artist to do so. The music video for its lead single of the same name recorded 73.6 million views on YouTube in first 24 hours of its release, becoming the most-viewed music video in the first 24 hours on the platform by a solo artist. The song earned Lisa two Guinness World Records as well as the first MTV Video Music Award ever won by a K-pop soloist.

CareerDebut. Since Lisa started dancing at an early age, she was a member of the Thai dance group "We Zaa Cool", which also included GOT7's BamBam and NCT's Ten. She was introduced as a YG Entertainment trainee with the release of a dance workout video on her official Youtube channel in 2012. She also appeared in Taeyang's "Ringa Linga" music video in 2013, unnamed.

2016: Debut with BLACKPINK. She was announced as the second member of BLACKPINK on June 7, 2016. The group debuted on August 8, 2016 with their first digital single "Square One".

2018–2021: Solo activities. In October 2018, YG Entertainment announced that all BLACKPINK members would get the chance to debut solo, starting with Jennie and then Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo. However, only Jennie debuted and this statement has not been updated. On July 12, 2021, the media reported that the filming of the video for Lisa's solo track had begun, with a release date set for summer 2021. Later that day, a representative from YG confirmed the news, stating that Lisa would be making her solo debut in August. On August 23, 2021, YG Entertainment released the first teaser. Her first single album was released on September 10.

Interesting Facts.She has seven cats - Leo, Luka, Lily, Louie, Lego, Hunter and Tiger. Leo, Luka, Lily, Lego and Louie live with her in Korea, while Hunter and Tiger live in Thailand with their parents.

Lisa is the first non-Korean YG artist.
